5 DIY Decoration Ideas for Halloween

Each year, we celebrate Halloween more often with our friends and family – and that’s because it is the perfect excuse to have a good time and give someone a scare! Therefore, in this post, you’ll find some easy and fun DIY decoration ideas for Halloween so you can decorate your house in this terrifying night of the year. Amaze everyone with the most original Halloween decoration!

1. Is Anyone There?

To do this WC Halloween decoration you’ll need a black cardboard and some scissors. Cut out your monster silhouette of preference, raise the top part of the tank and stick it to the frame. Your ‘outsider’ will be ready to scare someone at the right time and in the easiest of ways.

NEEDED: A Black and White Cardboard and Scissors

2. Mom, There’s Someone in the Kitchen Cupboard!

Our favorite! ‘Head in the jar’ is a perfect way to take a good scare out of your mom. You can make your own pictures following these steps or download the photo from this link.

You’ll also need a big jar and some green, yellow, or the color you’d like-tinted water. Put the plasticized picture inside the pot and you’re done! Now you have a new roommate.

NEEDED: A Plasticized Picture and a Transparent Jar

3. Little Guest

This homemade Halloween garland is easy and cool to make – A perfect handcraft for rainy and cold days.

To make the bats, you’ll have to paint the Styrofoam balls with black paint, glue their previously cut cardboard wings, and finally put the eyes on them.

As for the ghosts, you need to join the ball with the paper or some fabric you have at home alongside a pin, glue the eyes and hang the dummies on a rope.

NEEDED: Styrofoam Balls, Coated Paper or a Fabric, Cardboard, Eyes Stickers, and Pins

4. The Trace of the Killer

This is perhaps the easiest to make of all. Now, to create this bloodstained towel, you need… Well, just that. A towel and some blood (fake blood, of course). There’s no rocket science to this.

By the way, fake blood doesn’t usually stain, so you can wash the towel afterward and it’ll be all right. The critical part here is the scare you’re going to give to anyone who dares enter the bathroom.

You can also try it with a shower curtain or just by living a trace on the bathtub.

NEEDED: White Towel and Fake Blood

5. Witches’ Hideout

If you want your house to be overrun by authentic witches (and, believe us, we are not talking about your mother-in-law), these witch legs will do.

To create this unique effect, you will need some colored striped socks, pointed black shoes and a cardboard to simulate the leg of a witch. You can place those as you see in the pictures below, or any way you want.

NEEDED: Colored Socks and Black Shoes

These are some homemade ideas to decorate your house during Halloween and surprise and terrify your neighborhood.

Also, you can finish the handcrafts you create with some of the Halloween decoration articles that you’ll find in our web and transform your house into a real spooky mansion.
