💀Skeleton make-up
This tutorial will show you just how to apply your skeleton make-up to achieve an eye-catching and realistic skeleton look. All you need is some black and white make-up, as well as a sponge and paintbrush to mark out the different areas.
First, apply the white make-up all over your face (and neck if you want), only excluding the zones that you’re going to paint black. Afterwards, apply the black paint in these areas. You could paint around the eyes and eyebrows, creating large sockets, the end of the nose, and part of the cheekbone.
The next step is to create the effect of teeth on your lips, using a fine paintbrush. Use this paintbrush to create cracks in the rest of the face, blurring the lines to make it more realistic. Let’s finish up with one extra that we’re sure you’re going to love. This tutorial shows you how to do your make-up like La Catrina for the Day of the Dead. We’ve already talked about the costume, but the most important part of becoming La Catrina is her make-up.
As we can see in the video, the first step is to mark the eye sockets, end of the nose, and the scar that runs from the lips to the cheeks with a black pencil. Afterwards, apply white paint to the rest of the face and fill in the black areas you’ve already marked.
The next step is to draw petals on the outline of the eye, which you can then fill in with red or pink and some small white or blue gems. Finish by adding some more details to give it some colour, use some light blue to make it eye-catching and you’ll be looking just like La Catrina!
